We originally had a lackluster chat and lost touch. A year or so later, he reached out to me again. During that year he’d cross my mind because we live in the same area and I’d wonder if we’d crossed paths without knowing. So when he popped back up, I wanted to talk to him. We talked on the phone for about a month before meeting in person. We met at Cracker Barrel, had a nice meal and talked. We then went to a pub and played pool. After tiring of pool we went to a movie. We still weren't ready to end the date so we went to a bar and grill to talk some more. Neither one of us wanted to end the 8 hour date but we were tired and had to sleep. My only advice is to not waste time with people who aren't on the same page as you. I was ready to quit trying when I sent a message to my now fiance. Keep trying.
