Clinical Triage Intake: Patient presents with localized inguinal skin changes documented via recent visual media showing central crusted erosions and minor follicular scabbing with zero tense, clear, fluid-filled herpetic vesicles. Chronology: (1) Last Saturday, incidental discovery of 1 isolated, completely painless spot. (2) Monday, in-person PCP evaluation yielding low clinical concern and monitoring advice. (3) Wednesday and Thursday, subsequent appearance of localized friction bumps. (4) Friday (today), established healing crust at the primary site. Neurological profile demonstrates a total absence of prodromal pain, neuralgia, lancinating nerve pain, burning, or tingling. Pruritus is strictly superficial and limited to drying scab repair. Patient reports zero history of prior recurrent lesions. Requesting clinician review and targeted lesion PCR swab to definitively document and rule out viral etiologies in favor of mechanical irritation and follicular trauma.
