I hear you—dealing with unclear symptoms while managing an existing condition is genuinely stressful, and it's smart that you're paying attention to what's happening with your body.

Let me gently separate what you're describing: the pinching sensation *may* be associated with herpes prodrome (early outbreak signs), but it can also reflect BV, medication effects, irritation, or other vaginal health factors. Thick white discharge that doesn't typically exit is *more commonly* associated with BV or yeast than herpes specifically, though overlap happens.

**Here's what matters:** Valtrex can affect your system, and persistent BV despite treatment is genuinely frustrating—but these are things a healthcare provider needs to evaluate directly, especially since you're on suppressive therapy. They can:
- Examine what's actually present (discharge type, lesions, inflammation)
- Test for BV, yeast, or HSV if needed
- Adjust your treatment plan if Valtrex isn't working optimally or if side effects are an issue

**You're not alone in this experience**—many people on antivirals report discharge changes or unclear symptoms, and many struggle with recurrent BV. This doesn't mean something is "wrong" with you; it means your provider has better tools to clarify what's happening than guessing alone.

Reach out to your doctor or sexual health clinic soon—bring this exact description. You deserve clarity and a plan that actually works for your body.
