If both people have genital herpes and one person has oral herpes, can the non-infected person with just genital, be infected with oral?

Yes, it is possible for someone who only has genital herpes to contract oral herpes from a partner who has both types, even if both partners already have genital herpes. This is because herpes simplex virus (HSV) has two different types: HSV-1 (typically oral) and HSV-2 (typically genital), and having one type doesn't protect you from getting the other type in a different location.

However, I strongly recommend consulting with a healthcare provider for personalized medical advice and guidance about your specific situation. They can provide detailed information about prevention strategies and answer any other questions you may have about transmission risks.
