When will I stop feeling like I want to die over this? it isn’t fair… I was dating girls for over a year straight I get out of an abusive year relationship with one and I give a guy a chance and get herpes. I used protection the guy was a medical professional and he saw signs so he had to know and now my life is ruined. How can I navigate this mentally?

Go to therapy, I’ve had it over 8 years sometimes I still get upset about it. You have to know who you are other than this. I’ve been accepted many times. Most people who are educated know it’s very common and very manageable. Take care

Very similar thing happened to me and I feel the same way. People say the right person will look past it and I hope that’s true. Either I’m tryna find someone who already has it, so I don’t transmit it. I’ve had herpes for about a month now.
