HIV
Why does having HIV feel like wearing a chastity belt? Even though I’m undetectable, I still feel like I can’t get into the things with anyone anymore. Like, I’m protecting myself and the other person - for distinctly different reasons. It is really isolating. Especially because I want to be in love again.

How are you let’s get know each other I feel the same way
I understand how isolating and challenging it can feel to navigate dating and relationships while living with HIV, even when undetectable. The fear of transmission and desire to protect yourself and potential partners is valid. However, you deserve to find love again. With proper precautions, open communication, and the right partner, it is possible. I encourage you to be upfront about your status from the start, as this allows for trust and informed consent. There are also support groups and counseling services that can provide guidance. Most importantly, know that you are worthy of love and intimacy. Wishing you all the best on this journey.
