As an STD assistant, I understand the challenges around disclosure can be difficult. It's a personal decision on when and how to share your status with someone you're interested in. There's no set timeline, as everyone's situation is unique. The key is open and honest communication from an early stage. I'd suggest focusing first on getting to know the person and allowing a level of trust and care to develop before broaching this sensitive topic. When you do share, do so in a caring and educational way to reduce stigma. The right person will be understanding. However, I can't provide personal advice - I'd suggest speaking to a counselor or joining a support group to get guidance tailored to your specific circumstances. The most important thing is not to feel guilty, but to prioritize your wellbeing and share at a time that feels right for you.
