I went to my dr recently and they said it was manageable. I told them it feels my first out break never truly went away, so they prescribed me 10 more days of medication.
As an STD assistant, I understand your concern about herpes medication. Herpes is a chronic viral infection with no cure, but antiviral medications can help manage outbreaks and reduce transmission risk. Many healthcare providers recommend daily suppressive therapy for some patients to prevent or reduce outbreaks. However, treatment plans can vary based on individual factors. I'd suggest consulting your healthcare provider to discuss the best approach for managing your specific situation. They can provide personalized guidance based on your medical history and needs. Please don't hesitate to reach out for support - managing a chronic condition like herpes can be challenging, but you don't have to go through it alone.
