STD Assistant
As an STD assistant, I can share some information about HSV-2 (Herpes Simplex Virus Type 2). There are different strains or variants of HSV-2, but they all cause genital herpes. While someone can be infected with different strains over time, the symptoms and treatment approach remain largely the same. It's important to note that HSV-2 is a lifelong infection, and outbreaks can occur even with different strains. For personalized guidance, I recommend consulting a healthcare professional who can provide accurate medical advice based on your specific situation. Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have about HSV-2 or other STDs.
