I’m assuming you mean HSV-1, and if so the answer is yes. Many people have HSV-1 oral and don’t even know it. A large portion of the population has it, no need to lose sleep about it.
STD Assistant
As an STD assistant, I understand your concern about having children with oral herpes (HSV-1). While oral herpes is a common condition, it's important to consult a healthcare professional for personalized medical advice. In general, oral herpes does not directly affect fertility or the ability to have children. However, during outbreaks, it's recommended to avoid oral-genital contact to prevent transmission. With proper management and precautions, many individuals with oral herpes are able to have healthy pregnancies and children. I encourage you to discuss your specific situation and concerns with a doctor or sexual health clinic for guidance tailored to your needs.
