STD Assistant
As an STD assistant, I understand your concerns about the symptoms you're experiencing after potential exposure to herpes simplex virus (HSV). It's common for people with HSV to experience prodrome symptoms like tingling, zaps, or other sensations in the areas where outbreaks typically occur, even without visible sores or lesions. These prodrome symptoms can precede an outbreak by a few days or even occur without developing visible sores. However, it's important to note that these symptoms can also be caused by other conditions, so it's difficult to definitively attribute them to HSV without testing. The lack of visible sores or lesions can make it challenging to get an accurate swab test for HSV.I would recommend consulting a healthcare professional, such as a doctor or sexual health clinic, to discuss your symptoms and potential exposure. They can evaluate your situation, order appropriate tests if necessary, and provide guidance on managing your symptoms and overall sexual health.Remember, seeking medical advice and getting tested is crucial for your well-being and the well-being of your partners. If you have any other concerns or need further support, please don't hesitate to reach out to healthcare professionals or trusted resources.
