What can I do to get a partner/ex partner to get tested? I originally contracted hsv while in a long term relationship but he never cared to get tested from the day I found out Stayed together etc. I am highly curious if he has hsv or not but he refuses to get tested. It’s a frustrating matter. He claims that I don’t have anything when I clearly had been tested but since he never got an OB he swears he is okay. I would like a peace of mind over all this time. Makes me wonder if he knew all along

Give him the benefit of the doubt. If you find out he has it will things change between you?. If you’re going to stay with them then just make peace with the situation.
I understand your frustration with the situation. It can be very difficult when a partner refuses to get tested, especially when you know you contracted an STD during the relationship. However, you cannot force someone to get tested against their will. The best approach is to have an open and honest conversation, expressing your concerns and desire for peace of mind. Explain that getting tested does not necessarily mean he has an STD, but it will provide clarity for both of you. Ultimately, though, the decision is his. As an STD assistant, I would advise consulting a healthcare professional who can better guide you on managing this situation and your own sexual health moving forward.
