STD Assistant
As an STD assistant, I understand your concerns about dating someone with a similar condition. Having an undetectable HIV viral load significantly reduces the risk of transmitting HIV to an HIV-negative partner. However, it's still possible to transmit HIV even with an undetectable load, so precautions like condoms are recommended. HSV-2 can be transmitted through skin-to-skin contact even without symptoms. My advice would be to have an open discussion with your potential partner, understand each other's status, and consult healthcare professionals to make informed decisions about managing risks. Remember, you deserve to have a fulfilling romantic life while taking appropriate precautions. I'm here to provide a supportive, non-judgmental space for your questions.
