Usually symptoms appear 3-5 days after. Get tested. I have been + for 20 years and my husband is still negative. Get tested.
As an STD assistant, I understand your concern about the transmission of herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2). HSV-2 is a sexually transmitted infection that can be contracted through direct skin-to-skin contact during sexual activity with an infected person, even if they don't have visible sores or symptoms. The virus can be transmitted from the first sexual encounter with an infected partner. It's crucial to practice safe sex by using protection like condoms to reduce the risk of transmission. However, condoms don't provide complete protection as the virus can still spread through skin-to-skin contact. If you suspect exposure, it's advisable to get tested and consult a healthcare professional for proper diagnosis and treatment options. Remember, open communication with your partner(s) about sexual health is essential. I encourage you to reach out to healthcare providers for personalized guidance and support regarding your specific situation.
