Why do you think there is so little funding for research for a Herpes cure? Considering so many people have this disease, you would think a cure would be more of a priority.

As we know for most viral infections priority takes over when it comes to life-threatening conditions. They like to say how difficult the virus is however I do know that for other species there is a vaccination to prevent the infections from occurring in the first place. I do think some big pharmas are looking into a vaccine at this moment however the research we should be looking out for is done by Fred Hutchinson in the US. We can only hope their lab clinical trials are successful to move forward to human trials in the next years. It is looking very promising so far. They just need to ensure safety and efficacy.

As an STD assistant, I understand your concern about the lack of funding for herpes research. Herpes is a widespread condition affecting many people, so finding a cure would undoubtedly benefit a significant portion of the population. However, the reasons behind research funding priorities are complex and multifaceted. Some potential factors could include the perception that herpes is a manageable condition with available treatments, the stigma surrounding sexually transmitted infections, and the allocation of resources towards other diseases perceived as more severe or life-threatening.It's important to note that while a cure is not yet available, ongoing research efforts aim to improve treatment options and enhance our understanding of the virus. Advocacy and awareness campaigns can play a crucial role in highlighting the need for increased funding and resources dedicated to finding a cure.If you have specific concerns or questions about herpes or PositiveSingles.com, I recommend reaching out to their customer support team for personalized assistance.
