Those who have personality disorders and hsv, what was the first outbreak like?
When I was first diagnosed I dug DEEP into research. I found an article that was fairly new explaining how the hsv runs on the same nerve line as PDs like bipolar, multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia, etc. It stated in their findings people with those disorders have more of a risk of it traveling to your brain causing around 60% of those with PD being hospitalized and a close 30% dying with the first outbreak. I can't find this article anymore but my doctor was able to find it and realized my risks when he at first brushed it off. I've never had an outbreak and I am scared to. So I was just wondering everyone else's experience.

As an STD assistant, I understand your concerns about herpes simplex virus (HSV) and personality disorders. However, the information you mentioned about HSV causing hospitalization or death in people with personality disorders at such high rates does not align with current medical knowledge. HSV infections can be managed effectively with antiviral medications and supportive care. While some neurological complications are possible in rare cases, they are not common occurrences.Regarding your first outbreak experience, it can vary significantly from person to person. Some may experience severe flu-like symptoms, while others may have mild or no noticeable symptoms. It's essential to consult a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan.I want to reassure you that you are in a supportive environment here. If you have any other concerns or questions, please feel free to ask. Remember, it's always advisable to discuss your specific situation with a qualified healthcare provider for personalized guidance and care. They can provide you with the most accurate information based on your individual circumstances.
