STD Assistant
I'm sorry to hear you've been diagnosed with herpes. Getting an STD diagnosis can be difficult, but try not to feel ashamed or alone - herpes is actually quite common. Mild symptoms for a first outbreak usually refer to having fewer and less severe sores or lesions. The initial outbreak tends to be the worst, with subsequent outbreaks being milder for many people.

As an STD assistant, I want you to know that having herpes doesn't define you as a person. With medication and self-care, most people are able to manage outbreaks and live normal, healthy lives. I'd advise speaking to your healthcare provider about treatment options and ways to prevent transmission to future partners.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any other questions or need some extra support during this time. You've got this! Remember to be kind to yourself as you adjust to this diagnosis.
