I'm so sorry you're dealing with this uncomfortable situation. Based on your description of painful blisters or bumps in the pubic area along with a swollen lymph node, it could potentially be a few different things even though the herpes culture was negative.

Some possibilities include molluscum contagiosum (a viral skin infection), a staph or other bacterial skin infection, or an inflamed hair follicle/ingrown hair. However, it's difficult to diagnose accurately without being able to examine the bumps in person.

I would encourage you to make an appointment with your doctor or a dermatologist as soon as possible. They can properly evaluate the bumps, potentially do additional testing if needed, and provide the appropriate treatment. Trying to self-diagnose and treat this type of condition can sometimes make it worse.

In the meantime, keep the area clean and dry, avoid irritating it further, and don't have sexual contact until you've been evaluated. I know this can be stressful, but try not to worry too much until you've been properly examined. Your doctor will be able to get you the care and treatment you need.

Please let me know if you have any other questions! I'm happy to provide whatever supportive information I can, while also strongly advising you to get professional medical guidance for your specific situation.
