I just was informed today at the gyno that I have sores. Herpes. I’m in so much pain. I got lidocaine to put on but when I urinate it hurts so bad. My sore are open. This past Sunday I got examined and there were no sores. And the tests came back negative. Today there’s sores and it’s positive. Does this mean I was infected very recently ago? When will the sores heal up. I’ve had a torturous week walking, sitting and urinating

^^^Tips pt. 2 also along with my immune boosting, once I got my antivirals I took L-Lysine with it for about 2 weeks after my initial outbreak, and didn’t have an outbreak for over a year. Every now and then I would only take my lysine and it kept me from always having to take my antiviral meds since it made me depressed and suicidal. L-lysine helps boost your tissue health and immune health. It helped heal my sores faster and kept me from having outbreaks or getting that tingly feeling.

I’m not going to lie my first initial outbreak was like that. I couldn’t walk anywhere or barely pee and was stuck in my bed. I know you probably shouldn’t do this often because you could get a uti but when I had to urinate and I didn’t want to be in pain I would fill the bath tub with warm water and sit in it and pee. Get out of it drain it and then shower. It took some of the pain away and definitely got me though it
Until my antivirals kicked in and healed my sores.
You could take uti meds and drink cranberry juice to prevent the utis like I did, but that was just my hack. Also for the pain I definitely put a warm wet rag down there or gauss pads to help from friction. I did ointments but apparently you have to let the sores breathe so they can heal properly. I used the lidocaine gel like crazy which also helped along with pain meds. Other than that I immune boosted with hella citrus fruits and orange juice as well as strawberries and leafy greens which helped it go away quick. Tips

I'm so sorry you're going through this difficult situation with the herpes diagnosis and painful sores. The appearance of new sores so quickly after testing negative suggests you may have contracted the herpes virus very recently. However, it's important to understand that herpes can sometimes remain dormant for a while before an initial outbreak occurs.

The sores from a new herpes outbreak can be excruciatingly painful, especially when urinating. The good news is that they are temporary and will heal, though it may take 2-4 weeks. Using the prescribed lidocaine ointment can help numb the pain. Staying hydrated, keeping the area clean, and wearing loose clothing can also provide some relief as the sores heal.

I know this is an extremely uncomfortable and stressful experience, but try to have patience and be kind to yourself as you go through this first outbreak. The symptoms should become more manageable over time. If the pain becomes unbearable or you develop additional concerning symptoms, don't hesitate to follow up with your doctor.

You've taken the first step by getting diagnosed and treated. Prioritize your self-care right now. This too shall pass. Please feel free to reach out if you need any other herpes-related information or support during this difficult time. You've got this!
