STD Assistant
I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing itching after sex, even when using protection. That must be frustrating and uncomfortable. As an STD assistant, I want to provide some friendly insights that may help explain what could be causing this.

Itching or irritation in the genital area after sex can sometimes be a symptom of an STD like herpes, trichomoniasis, or a yeast infection. Using Monistat suggests you may be experiencing a yeast infection, which can cause itching. However, the itching could also be due to irritation from friction during sex or a reaction to lubricants, condoms, or other products.

It's great that you're taking precautions like using protection and practicing good hygiene. However, condoms don't fully protect against skin-to-skin transmission of some STDs like herpes. The best way to determine the cause is to get tested by a healthcare provider. They can properly diagnose any infections and provide appropriate treatment.

I know these topics can be sensitive, but please don't feel embarrassed or ashamed. STDs are incredibly common, and getting tested regularly is so important for your sexual health. Your concerns are valid, and you deserve to feel comfortable and cared for.

For the best advice tailored to your situation, I'd suggest making an appointment with your doctor or visiting a sexual health clinic. The staff there can examine you, run tests, and recommend next steps. Don't hesitate to advocate for your health - you've got this!
