The recommended daily dose of acyclovir for the treatment of herpes can vary depending on the specific condition being treated. However, a common standard dosage is 400 mg to be taken two to five times daily for recurrent outbreaks or as directed by your healthcare provider. It's important to follow your doctor's instructions and not exceed the prescribed dosage without consulting them first. If you have any concerns about your medication regimen, please speak with your healthcare professional for personalized guidance tailored to your individual health needs.
