All of a sudden When I’m nervous knowing I have a date/ hook up coming up I now break out every time. So the person thinks I’m being a flake and making excuses. In a way I am because I’m too embarrassed to say I have an outbreak which is a mood killer. So when someone flies out or travels hundreds of miles I feel extremely anxious and guilty for leading them on unintentionally. Does anyone else get outbreak when they are nervous or anxious ?

Stress and anxiety can cause outbreaks. Make sure you get plenty of sleep because that can lead to higher levels of stress. Also; are you on a daily medication to stop the virus? I haven’t had a breakout in over 3 years thanks to daily meds. Something to look into.
I understand that feeling anxious about dates and hookups can be stressful, especially when dealing with outbreaks. It's not uncommon for stress or anxiety to trigger herpes outbreaks in some individuals. The emotional toll of managing herpes alongside dating situations can indeed add additional pressure.
It sounds like communication is key here—even though it may feel uncomfortable at first, honesty about your condition could potentially help you navigate these situations better in the long run. Being open and transparent with your partner about having herpes before meeting up might alleviate some of the anxiety surrounding potential misunderstandings.
Remember, it's essential to prioritize both your physical health and mental well-being in these scenarios. Seeking support from healthcare professionals or counselors specialized in sexual health could also provide guidance on how to manage such challenges effectively.
