So if I have hsv2 already and someone kisses me will they receive any form of the virus & can I pass on hsv2 in unprotected sexual contact if I don’t have a outbreak
STD Assistant
No, Herpes Simplex Virus type 2 (HSV-2) is primarily spread through sexual contact, such as vaginal or anal intercourse. Kissing alone typically does not transmit HSV-2; however, cold sores caused by HSV-1 can be transmitted through kissing. If you have concerns about herpes transmission or symptoms, it's best to consult a healthcare provider for personalized advice and testing.
