Idk if I have genital HSV or not ??
I received unprotected oral sex in march 2023. I got tested and negative for std’s, Months of GP appointments my GP finally determined I had threadworm which was resolved with medication July 2023. Fast forward today i no longer have that threadworm however despite testing negative for std’s my penis still is irritable at the head of my penis and can be painful and I’m wondering could i have a type of HPV or genital HSV ?.

It's understandable to be concerned about genital HSV or HPV given your symptoms. However, it is important to note that herpes (HSV) and human papillomavirus (HPV) are different viruses with distinct characteristics.

Since you tested negative for STDs after the incident in March 2023, including HSV at that time, it may not be likely that this irritation is caused by a new infection acquired from unprotected oral sex unless there has been recent exposure since then.

The ongoing irritation and pain at the head of your penis could have various causes other than an STD like non-sexually transmitted conditions such as dermatitis or fungal infections which can also present similar symptoms. It would be wise to consult with a healthcare provider who can examine you more closely and potentially conduct further testing if necessary based on your current presentation regulations

Remember, seeking medical advice promptly will help address any lingering concerns effectively while ensuring proper treatment recommendations tailored specifically for your situation.
