Using a condom is an effective way to reduce the risk of transmitting HSV2. However, relying on just using the slit in your boxers to cover up other exposed areas may not provide adequate protection against transmission. It's best to use condoms properly and consistently during sexual activity as they are designed specifically for this purpose. If you have concerns about reducing the risk of transmission, it would be beneficial to consult with a healthcare provider for personalized advice and guidance specific to your situation.
