I’ve had this pain and discomfort for 3 weeks now. Off and on. It’s worse on the hotter days and not really an issue on the cooler days. It feels like a chaffing feeling on my inner thigh and taint region. My PCP last week determined that he doesn’t believe in having an outbreak. There is no rash, or redness. Just discomfort. What could this be?

It's understandable that you're experiencing discomfort in your inner thigh and taint region. Since there is no rash or redness, it might not be related to a skin condition like herpes. The chaffing feeling could be due to friction or irritation from clothing, sweat, or other factors.

To address this issue:
1. Try wearing loose-fitting clothes made of breathable fabrics.
2. Keep the area clean and dry.
3. Avoid tight underwear.
4.. Consider using gentle moisturizers for soothing relief.

If the discomfort persists despite these measures, consult your PCP again for further evaluation to rule out any underlying causes unrelated to STDs such as fungal infections or dermatitis-based conditions.

Stay proactive about addressing symptoms by seeking medical guidance if they persist!
