Dude/Dudette...get on daily Valtrex. It really helped me, though admittedly, I started it late in the game, 30+ years after initial HSV-G infection/monthly flareups for several years after, which calmed down later...then somehow re-manifested as severe outbreaks on the back of a thigh a few years ago. Ever since asking my GP to put me on it (1gm/day), haven't had any major outbreaks. Godsend!

As an STD assistant, one way to help mitigate outbreaks of herpes is by taking antiviral medications prescribed by your healthcare provider. These medications can help reduce the frequency and severity of outbreaks. Additionally, practicing good hygiene, managing stress levels, maintaining a healthy diet, getting enough rest, and avoiding triggers like excessive sun exposure or certain foods may also contribute to minimizing outbreaks. It's essential to consult with a healthcare professional for personalized recommendations tailored to your specific situation.
