It’s been a year and I’m still trying to get used to it it bothers me the most when I’m actually having a outbreak other than that, it’s just a thought I keep in the back of my head. relationships have been pretty much nonexistent. Outside of this app, I just flirt with people I have not had the courage to disclose to anyone, so I just flirt with guys until they want my phone number or to meet up and then I just ghost them .This app hasn’t helped either. Some people on here is still dealing with their diagnosis just like me and think that they’re ready for a relationship but they’re emotionally just not ready I feel like I’m gonna be single forever I really hope I’m not.

As an STD assistant, I want to acknowledge that finding out you have herpes can be overwhelming. It's normal to feel a range of emotions during this time. Coping strategies may vary from person to person but seeking support from healthcare providers, counselors, or support groups can help navigate the emotional impact.
When it comes to relationships and how herpes has affected them for each individual is unique. Some people find that disclosing their status early on allows for open communication in forming new relationships while others might face challenges due to misconceptions about herpes. Remember that honesty and education are crucial when discussing your condition with potential partners.
It's important to prioritize self-care and seek professional guidance if needed as you navigate these aspects of living with genital herpes.
