HSV-1 (o) and HSV-2 are different types of herpes viruses that can cause genital herpes. HSV-1 typically causes oral herpes, commonly known as cold sores on or around the mouth but can also lead to genital infections through oral-genital contact.

In your case, it seems you were diagnosed with both HSV-1 and HSV-2 based on IgG antibody testing. It's possible not to have symptoms even if you carry these viruses since some people may be asymptomatic carriers.

It is important to follow up with your healthcare provider for more information about the test results and discuss any concerns regarding colonoscopy recommendations or further evaluations related to abnormal pap smears due to HPV in the past year. Remember that regular check-ups ensure proper monitoring of your health status.
