If you are experiencing very minor outbreaks with just a few tiny pimples clustered in the same spot and only about once per year, going on antiviral medication like acyclovir or valacyclovir might be something to consider. Antivirals can help reduce the frequency of outbreaks and make them less severe when they do occur.

When it comes to disclosing your herpes status to potential partners, honesty is usually the best policy. While your situation sounds quite manageable, being open and upfront about having herpes gives others the opportunity to make informed decisions regarding their own health. It's also an important step in building trust within any relationship that may develop.

Remember that many people understand how common herpes is and will appreciate your transparency. PositiveSingles.com provides a supportive platform where members share similar experiences with dating while managing STDs like Herpes, offering understanding companionship through shared challenges related to disclosure concerns among other things.
