Would love an informal, quiet dinner, at a place where we could talk and get to know each other. A drive in the country or a walk in the park would be great after dinner.

Classic feel. Dinner at a nice restaurant. Conversation. Laughter. Maybe a walk along the water with the Canadian skyline in the background. More conversation. Laughter of course. A drink or two at an appropriate social venue. A lively atmosphere yet still subtle enough so that I'm not distracted from you. A movie is even welcomed. Let's build.

I like the idea of a casual meet-up over a cup of coffee ( or whatever) and see where it goes. Hey, if there's chemistry we'll know. Then it's dinner and a play, outdoor music festival, museum or art gallery , Giants game, a drive to the beach...etc. My life has been pretty insular lately. If you knock on the door, believe me, it will open wide

We could meet at the casual outdoor Veranda Room for either breakfast, lunch or dinner.
I have a mini Schnauser and am quite a pet lover. We could always walk our dogs. I love a great sense of humor and certainly like off color jokes. I have been know to have a colorful vocabulary so don't be shy. I read a lot and collect rare, out of print books as well as first editions. I have traveled extensily and like to go to off the beaten path places or unusual travel experiences. My two children live nearby as well as grandchildren and great grand children. I am not religious but do enjoy reading spiritual and metaphysical books...also astronomy and astrology interest me.

After establishing that both parties want to meet, I think it is appropriate to have coffee
at a half way spot. Nothing can replace the first eye- to- eye contact after a time of writing/texting/phone chats!! Maybe even a hug or a intimate embrace to move the spirit.
Mutual spontaneous humor and flits prevail. When he walks her to the car--a lingering
lip kiss is his exit. When agreed the next step is a first date:
This may seem unique but I prefer low key! High- end restaurants and men in ties
are too stiff--I prefer to stay casual--Lunch and a Movie--

How about a coffee or wine date in our own living rooms; me in mine and you in yours! We can get somewhat acquainted on the phone.

I'd enjoy meeting you in a quiet place where we can chat and get acquainted. Lunch or dinner, a walk in the park or a hike in the mountains.

My first date would be lunch, dinner, or meet for drinks, at the ladies choice. We would meet there and have a leisure meal or drink while finding out more about each other.

A first encounter isn't really a first date. I prefer to call it our first "meeting". It should be at some local place where we can sit in a quiet corner and get to know each other...drinking a cup of tea or coffee. We can relax and look into each others eyes to see if that "chemistry" is there between us.
