A quiet lunch or dinner someplace that will facilitate an open conversation to get to know each other better. I find it’s easier to read someone in person and determine if there is a real spark / connection.

I would prefer our first "meet-up" to be during the day. I understand this can be challenging for us single parents but real effort is reserved for real interest.

For a first date, I love something easygoing and a little creative, like a sunset beach walk, checking out a small art gallery, or grabbing a drink somewhere with live music. I’m all about good conversation, a relaxed vibe, and a little sense of adventure rather than anything too formal. Bonus points if there’s a dog involved (mine or yours) or we can just wander and discover something unexpected along the way.

Let’s keep it simple—grab a drink or some food somewhere we can actually hear each other and figure out if we vibe… or if we’re about to become a funny story later.
Expect sarcasm, some light roasting (all in good fun), and zero awkward interview questions like “where do you see yourself in five years?”
If there’s chemistry, we’ll keep it going—maybe a walk, maybe another round, maybe we lose track of time. If there’s not, at least we can both agree we survived it and didn’t waste a perfectly good evening pretending.
