For me, the perfect date is defined by undivided attention. Because my love language is Quality Time, I value environments that allow for deep, meaningful connection without the distractions of phones or loud crowds. I am looking for a partner who enjoys putting the world on "pause" so we can truly invest in getting to know each other’s hearts. A wonderful evening might start with an intimate dinner at a quiet restaurant where the atmosphere is calm enough for us to really hear one another. I love sharing a meal where the conversation flows naturally from our faith and testimonies to our favorite "geek" culture theories or dreams for the future. I also believe that "doing" life together is the best way to bond. I would love a date where we can be creative in the kitchen—perhaps cooking a healthy meal or baking something sweet together. It’s a great way to team up and talk while we work. If we want to get moving, I’d love to head out for country dancing or even sign up for ballroom dancing lessons together. There is a special kind of communication that happens on the dance floor, and I think learning that rhythm together would be a beautiful way to grow closer. Whether we are taking a peaceful nature walk, practicing Tai Chi to stay healthy, or just relaxing with my dogs, my goal is always the same: intentionality. I am looking for someone who appreciates a phone-free environment where we can give each other the gift of our presence and build a foundation of friendship, trust, and shared joy.

The date would actually start when we speak on the phone. I would request your zip code and come up with various suggestions around where you live. Whether it maybe, choice of a few restaurants, appetizers on a beach while watching the sunset, dance lessons, bowling, pool, any number of things that we both would enjoy doing together. I am old fashioned, so I would ask to pick you up and get out to open your door. If not we will meet at the venue. Even though we never have met, we communicated often and I found out many interesting things about you. As you approach I would extend my hand, and offer you a welcoming hug. Who knows you may even smell like a summer morning, after it rained. Conversation would flow. Our evening would be filled with smiles, laughing and perhaps both of us saying “ me too” . There would be walking together, and perhaps if the mood seems appropriate some hand holding, I do not wish to give the entire date away but afterwards we would both say to ourselves, that this was a great first date.
