Just a casual lunch, so we can talk about things. To be able to discuss what is important to us, get some ideas, if there should be any future meetings...I am definitely open to a friendship and if something else happens, great.
Maybe after lunch, depending on the weather, we could walk on one of Madison's 3 beaches and enjoy the sun, sand and water.

I'd love to go to a rodeo or a ballgame and eat hot dogs. Or maybe walk around the zoo. First dates are pretty scary for me - I almost always end up enjoying myself immensely, but feel very nervous before the date.

At this age we all have had many experiences, and talking about them will allow us to get acquainted quickly. For this a quiet place is best, like the lake shore, or a small coffee shop.

If this is to be the start of something special, I might like to get a bit more prep than my usual jeans and plain shirt. Maybe a navy blazer with a nicer shirt or at least a nice, new shirt.
I want to talk with you about where to go for a decent coffee that IS NOT Starbucks (the $3 per ounce rip-off joint for i-Pods, i-Phones, and other gadget junkies). If we are still interested after a jolt of energy, we could agree on a good, moderately priced restaurant for a late lunch so we are free to talk right through dinner if we like. Thai, French, Vietnamese, whatever. Quiet, not so busy that we'll lose our seats if we continue through the start of dinner. I can't say loud music blasting away goes down very well with Fraises des bois au chocolat et a la creme fraiche. I prefer light classical — if anything at all. How about you? I like the sound of running water.
I see a very long talk, maybe a walk to tie up loose ends and whatever the Gods will bring after we begin to flag from talking and walking. We'll talk about it!
