FIRST DATE IDEAS FROM MEMBERS

I prefer not predicting what will fit.

Most people eat lunch... let’s try to miss the crowd and meet a little after the typical lunch hour. Somewhere where there is outdoor seating unless it’s too hot (or cold)!

I would like to invite you to a picnic in the city. Rug, sandwiches, thermos flask of tea/coffee followed by a stroll around the gardens.

Meet in a cafe or coffee shop. Spend an hour & more enjoy lunch. Get to know your area, unless you want to travel to meet me. I can assist in paying for your travel to meet me.

We could meet at a nice public place chosen by you. Perhaps a park, coffee shop, etc.

what ever is comfortable for the lady.

Would like to meet at a public place such as a restaurant for lunch, or at mall; someplace conducive to having good conversation between two people and finding out a little about each other.

Coffee or tea somewhere quiet and nice to talk and share, open air is great.

A ride up the coast, to Heceta Light House or Cape Perpetua, walks on the beach or in the woods then to Yachats or Newport for lunch or dinner.

First date would be coffee and conversation or perhaps lunch.

I would allow my date select a venue/activity which would make our first meeting a memorable and enjoyable one for her.

Dinner is fine. In a quiet lovely place

Meeting for coffee or drinks would give us the chance to get to know each other. And see if a genie from the lamp prompts us to ask what we really want to know.

PS: "All first dates must take place in public places." That's a bit restrictive, hmm? Safety, you say? I suppose...some of the women out there are kinda scary. I was thinking though maybe my garage. Yes, I do keep my chainsaw there, but really are you serious? Texas chainsaw massacre and all that? Don't be ridiculous! And blood has a habit of gumming up the works... No, I thought maybe take off the pressure, let her see me in my natural habitat...perhaps we could bond over an engine rebuild or an oil change? She wouldn't have to agonise over what to wear--overalls and boots would do fine. I'm considerate to a fault, I guess. It'd be really romantic too, down in the pit, with my flickering trouble lights giving a disco effect. And no need for wine--not with petrol there to sniff! Also it's best to keep the first meal simple--and the pizza guy knows to slide them under my truck when I dial out. I'd be a gentleman though--nothing physical on the first date. Maybe on the second date I'll take her bush bashing in my F350...time enough then to find out if she's got the leg strength to push me out of a bog. First date would be a leisurely dinner in an upscale romantic restaurant followed by an evening at home with good conversation and loving interaction.

How about on a nice sunny day, I drive up to your home, pick you up, we drive with the top down in my torch red Z06 Corvette, first for a ice cream cone, I love watermelon sherbert, then we venture out for a longer ride on the highway & see where it leads us, life is a adventure lets enjoy it together for now & always

I am now a Snowbird again. Spend the winter where it is warm and summers up North where it is not so hot. Traveling with my Pickup and 5th wheel. Are you up for that life style? Would you like to go Fishing, Gold panning, Skinny dipping in remote hotsprings. Or what ever else we decide to do.

Our first date should be very casual, and simple maybe coffee or drinks and see where it goes from there I hope it far.
