What an odd category, but I guess a grocery store is a magnificent place to get to know someone. Or maybe Walgreens if you're feeling crazy. We could buy lettuce together and dance to muzak in the cereal isle while shopping onlookers give that disapproving glance; an odd dichotomy of anger for having more fun than they and a bit of envy. That's right grocery people.

The first time meeting someone from an online site can be awkward, so something simple usually works. (I selected "errand dating" as a category because I've never thought of it before. Sounds like a fun way to get two things done at once. It seems like a great first "meeting" as opposed to an actual date to help break the ice)

The pre date will definitely be in a public place. We will share some coffee or tea. Then we can progress on to a different activity from there. Ultimately the first date would involve both of us cooking something together.

Maybe a nice dinner....but I've been on so many nice dinner dates.....a sense of humor would be nice on a first date I want to go on adventurous dates like sailing for example or canoeing if the weather is warm outside.....well I guess on a second date that would be better and on a first date a dinner to somewhere w/ a different culture and a nice ambiance and great food sounds perfect. I'm always up for trying new foods.

A first date could really be anything. As a suggestion (seeing as they require it) an errand date would be fine. As in grocery shopping, a trip to the tip, that would be fun, collecting furniture, cleaning a fridge. Conversation is ready made and you really get to know a person better then say watching a movie. Plus if the date does not work out you get something annoying done with help. If it does,then you can return the favour by cleaning their fridge or by mutual agreement go do something fun with the owner of the recently clean fridge paying for lunch.

I would check if there's any local events going on that we might both enjoy, if not then maybe try a local restaurant or meet somewhere for some drinks. I would even be ok meeting up to do mundane stuff like grocery shopping or dog walking, we'd still be talking and getting to know each other.
