I think a simple walk along the beach is a gentle introduction.... Walking leads to talking, and the waves are soothing, the surroundings are beautiful, there are lots of other people around to interact with and spur conversation, and the uneven boardwalk could lead to you take my arm! We might get tired of walking and sit on the rocks by the water, or go for a drink or something to eat....

I'd ask the lady if she'd be interested in having me show her around the gorge all day long. I know a few secrets that not many other people know about it. I love to fish, so we could also go fishing in the gorge/whirlpool or somewhere else in the region provided the person has a vehicle as I don't have one.

I would like to go to a park with a lake and sit and get to know each other. Stillwater is one of my favorite places to go and check out the antique shops at the same time. Then either pick something up to eat by the water or have dinner at a restaurant and eat on the patio. Only if no mosquitos join us lol.

Hiking/walking has always been a great way for me to get to know someone. A low key meeting works better for me, than a more formal dinner, or going to a concert. I love music, but it's not a great way to get to know someone on a first date.
