I believe the best way to achieve that is by doing something fun and engaging like going bowling, arcade, golfing or etc. If there's a second or third date, then we can plan a dinner for a in-depth conversation.

A trip to the arcade or local card room is cool. Gun ranges A+. I don't drink but am a weed smoker/shroom user. I don't care if you do but drunks are a turn off.
Karaoke dive bars are my jam. I LOVE to sing- not amazingly but I have a great time showing off.
On open mike or comedy club would be cool too.

I really like playing sports and games. I also think friendly competition is a good way to get to know people. Some ideas are bowling, mini golf, frisbee golf, arcades, board games, escape rooms, bingo, pool, air hockey.
