We meet. I'm nervous but electric with anticipation. We make eye contact. We chatter aimlessly as we hunt for our seats. We calm each other down and laugh easily. We read the play bill together and slowly unravel one another over the thought of what this play will pour into us and bring out of us. Lights go down. Play starts. It's heavy with perspective on human nature. We thrill to the action and noise and color and feeling of it all. Our hands lightly touch. We are consumed by the moments good theater offers. Afterward we sit cozy at a tapas lounge, trying small plates of fusion appetizers. It's there that we mentally flirt and enjoy the possibility of an "US."
