I love art, food, cooking, crafts, photography, some history, and museums. I have been to the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art many times. However, I think it's a place where you never really see everything the same way each time you go. The cafe there is nice and it is a charging place to meet up with someone and experience with on a first date.

I've never actually tried this for a first date but thought would be interesting to go the art museum then talk about how some of the pieces "struck" us. Seems a good way to find out how a potential partner thinks and feels.

Meet under the shady oaks of the museum district, take a leisure walk to see the latest exhibit, visit some horses or just grab a drink and talk...friends is always the best start, right?

Let's go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. Not interested in art? Take me to Duane Reade and just let me go up and down the aisles .

Ok, so I think the best venue for a first date is somewhere we can continue our already developing phone conversation, face to face. And at our own pace. Start out at a museum or in a quiet corner of a cigar bar. If it's a nice sunny day, I would love to meet at a park; lay on a blanket watching the clouds drift by or sit on the swings and chat. Yes, I still get a kick out of entertaining the little girl in me! I'm open to new ideas though, pretty flexible and don't mind trying some place new. As long as it's not crowded and extra noisy. Ya dig?

Late lunch or early dinner, some wine, maybe a short a walk through the park. Somewhere with a nice view and comfortable places to sit down and talk... somewhere public but with a private feel... maybe walk on the beach and watch the sunset...

Sounds funny coming from a man like me but yes, one of the best dates I ever been on was getting an invite to a museum. I enjoyed it!

Well I'd like a movie then go for a drink and a long walk and talk and get to know each other better.

I’m not sure it’s been so long since I dated I don’t remember what to do. Usually I like having fun and getting to know someone. I used to love miniature golf since then you could actually interact and get to know people.
Im a little wary about dating again I’m not looking for anyone to act like a second mom to my daughter I’ve done a pretty good job for 15 years now although something’s would be good for a woman to be around for.
Im really looking for someone to be a friend with to hang out with and watch movies together and go to events and dinner with. I love being single but I experience things to often by myself and would like someone to just experience things with. Im pretty sure I sound weird but that’s okay.

Definitely not the movies, no opportunity to talk and get to know each other. How about the museum, we can browse the art work and pretend (at least I can) that I know what I'm looking at and discuss it intelligently. Maybe you can point things out to me that I'm missing.
