Thank you so much. I had plenty of choices of some nice people and I really want to focus on one in particular. He is super and I think he just might be the one. Thank you!!!!! Really so thankful to you all.
Mark and I contacted each other back in January. Hello's and how are you's. We exchanged numbers and things progressed nicely from there. I must say, having the awkward "talk" out of the way was such a big help. We knew and accepted each other in that regard. No plans for marriage yet, dear Lord no.. But it's nice to have someone who can relate to your struggles and past history without having to say it all. Without your site, we never would have met. Thank you so much for having such a communication system that allows people like us to feel relaxed and knowing upfront that the uncomfortable "I have herpes" talk is non-issue.. Because it's always in the back of your mind.
My success came from this site. I met a girl called Martha. She is so beautiful and I had a date and then didn't see her for a few weeks as I was HIV negative and she was afraid of giving me hives. But she spoke to her mum and she told her to contact me. Again and on Thursday this week we are meeting again. I am so happy she is the love of my life and I'd do anything for her.
I met someone on here that started with a wink. We have started seeing each other and things are going very well. Out of respect for her I am closing my account. In the event our relationship would end or we just become friends I will be back on your site. Thank you!!!
I believe we corresponded for a few weeks before finally meeting. We met for lunch in March 2010 at a local restaurant. We are expecting out first baby late this summer and getting married in the fall.
Your site helped me connect with someone I had feelings for and without this site, we never would have known.
My current boss and I met a year ago, at our corporate training in NYC and were instantly attracted to each other however he was living in Virginia Beach with his Fiance and I was living in Cincinnati. In December the vice president the midwest region called me to let me know that we would have a new manager starting on January 2nd in our office.
One day in mid December, he walked through the doors of my office and I found out that the man I had a crush on at training would be my manager.
About a month ago I received a text from him after work hours and it said that he wanted to talk to me about something that was bothering him. He told me that after observing me for months and hearing all of my dating stories in the office (all of the employees are 25-30), that he couldn't understand why I was single. He told me that he thought I was sweet, and beautiful, motivated, with a good head on my shoulders. I replied and just told him that I had been through a lot with men and that maybe, someday when we got to know each other a little better, that I may fill him in on the details and events of my early dating years.
He told me that there was no need because he already knew and understood. At this point I was completely confused and I asked him what he meant. He responded with ":) PS". Two nights later we got together for a drink and shared our stories and our feelings for one another.
Everything happens for a reason. That is something that I have learned from this site and from having Herpes. Life may be difficult and bad things may happen to good people, but in the end all of us with find love and support. Last night we were driving home from a support group event (it was his very first one with all of the people in Cincinnati), and he looked at me and said "Marriage and relationships can be very difficult. There are so many tests and tribulations that people have to overcome. I truly believe that you and I went through all of our hardships and struggles so that when we found each other, we would be strong enough for each other to last a lifetime." Writing out his words now, it instantly brings tears to my eyes. Thank you for this site and for allowing us to take down our walls to find love.
This is real...he's here to stay...this is the one. We are preparing for my move to NY, When we met a little over a year ago. When I first looked into his eyes...I just melted...he was so handsome. And had the most beautiful eyes. He has a good heart too. He is a sweetheart...typical New Yorker..lol. But still my sweetie...my best friend...my rock...with him I feel secure.
I met a wonderful man and we are serious about seeing where it will go... trust begins with taking down your dating profile!!
I LOVE PS--- It rescued me from a bleak dating existence and provided an easy way to meet quality men. I found that the level of men on PS, though fewer in numbers, exceed other dating sites by far. I was really pleased. It didn't take long for me to find someone and for him to find me... and if we don't walk off into the sunset together, and then I'll be back on PS!
Correspondence was short, maybe a week. We emailed back and forth once and planned to meet for lunch. Lunch is easy and can be short if someone is uncomfortable. Our second date was that night. We married 15 months later. Both our experiences were its best to meet quickly and see if there is a connection. The back and forth emails and notes can become tiring and then it's easy to avoid a meeting. Your service is invaluable and we both thank you, good luck.
He winked at me and initiated contact. I then responded with a wink and he began emailing me. We corresponded through email for a few days then began communicating
via phone for about 1-2 weeks before meeting in person. The connection was instant, we both felt a strong chemistry right away.
We decided to meet on a Friday for happy hour at a neighborhood restaurant between the two of us. The atmosphere has a great laid back feel. We sat on the patio, the weather was gorgeous, and not too many other people around which allowed for privacy as we got to know each other better.
The evening flew by. We both could see it in each others eyes that this was it. As we both have said, when you know, you know.
Plans for marriage are in our near future. We each knew what we wanted and neither one of us wanted to settle on anything less. It feels amazing to find that person who compliments you and having last piece of the puzzle found and placed.
We are looking forward to our future together and moving into the next chapter of our lives.
I cannot think of anything that I would want to improve fir the site. It was easy to use and communicate with others.
I want to thank PositiveSingles for giving us a place we can meet and feel safe with others in similar situations. It makes the dating process for people like us a little less stressful.
I found the one for me through your site. We are now committed and in love. I no longer have use for the site. We may return as a couple in the future, but for now we wish to focus on our relationship. My thanks go to the founders of this site. With out Positive Singles, we would have never met. Thank you for introducing me to my future wife.
Found the love if my life. Really! This time it's for good. It's very premature at this point. But we're both ecstatic and giving it our best shot. How would I change the site? Maybe be more lenient with sending a free one-time email?
The problem is with the immaturity level of the members. Just some thoughts-- Maybe give them tips on etiquette. Of have pop ups telling people what to do or say. PS already does this to a degree.
And don't take it the wrong way but I hope I never have to come back! Haha. What a great service you provide! Thank you!
We corresponded for about a month before we had an unplanned meeting. It was not planned to meet in person. We both happened to be at the same place at the same time. That made it really comfortable because we had another agenda but at least got to meet.
We are in it for the long haul so marriage has been discussed. This was really fun. I met some other guys that didn't work out but it gave me a chance to look at what was important to me. This was the first time I ever did an online dating sight, but did try another one for 2 weeks, at the same time I was here. There are some genuine folks out there and some knuckle heads, just have to stay positive (no pun intended).
