After nearly 2 years of chatting online we arranged to meet up and since then we've been inseparable and have never looked back! Now we're engaged and wedding planning! Thank you PositiveSingles! xxxxx
Dear Positive Singles,
I am so glad that you are interested to know the success that we have achieved through your site. Most importantly I take what ever that happens in my life as planned by God long ago, there is no one who introduced me to the site, I just googled and found out that you offer that service to us.
It took us just a week for us to meet, I think our love was made in heaven. We didn't ask for photos from each other from the start and that was the belief for both of us, we were looking for Love not physical appearance. It was a great surprise for both of us the day we met as we were much anxious to see how each other looks. It was so glad that when we met, both of us were happy to find out that what we were expecting is what we got.
We first met at the train station. we had not exchanged photos before we met, the station where we met is the busiest station in London. It has so many outlet as it is also an international station, if you are familiar with London, I am talking about King Cross- St Pancras. It took me like 30 minutes to find out exactly which outlet she will come out. With Gods will I was at the right place in the right time. We had planned that she calls me when she comes out of the station, but I wanted to give her a surprise that we meet before she call me, and the surprise worked out perfectly well. We tried to describe each other before we met, I got the greatest surprise of my life that she was able to spot me among hundreds of people who were in the station. She came straight to me and she gave me a big hug even before she asked my name. Later on she asked: ''are you Robert'', then I replied by asking whether she was the person that I was waiting for. It was spot on and it was Love at first sight, we hugged again and from there we we inseparable.
I took her to my car, and gave her a single rose that I had bought earlier. I treated her like a Queen, open the door for her all the time, and she was extremely happy. We are both Africans, but from neighbouring countries, that's why I decided to take her to the best African restaurant in town. We both enjoyed the meal, we were communicating as if we had know each other for so long. Our interests are the same, but most of all, she is a loving and caring person.
I have a lot to share with you, and I don't know whether you understand the happiness that I have after searching for a long time. We communicate all the time, I cant even tell how many times she calls me every day. And I hope and strongly believe we are going to maintain it. We always pray for whatever we do.
We definitely mentioned about getting married, but we both don't believe in official wedding. We believe in Love, and we suggested that let us know each other better so the wedding bit will come later.
I thought this was a successful site for me...met a few users...truly...only in this for someone who had the same std..so they could safely get laid...
Then I met joeg173a, a very minimal profile...found out on phone that he was a paraplegic etc....I am not shallow...we did meet ...connected etc...had a 3 to 4 month romance...I even moved to his area with him....then one month later he totally flipped and asked me to leave...after proposing and giving me a very nice ring...this man with a sad story of rejection...and I finally was someone who got who he was...etc etc...I paid for one month to be able to communicate at positivesingles.com and then met him...
I was paying monthly on another site before...but at least there are personality profiles...and only like people are matched ...it is not a meat market like I found on this site.
Thank you for your efforts....
I have been an ongoing member with this website for several years. I've had dates, met a few friends and had a few relationships, although promising, they never panned out.
Recently I had a man check out my profile, but he left no messages or winks. I read his profile and became intrigued. I contacted him and we had a great conversation and eventually felt comfortable sharing our info. To communicate more. Even though there are currently 500 miles between us we have gone from having a great report, to friends and now romantically involved. His job will soon, uncanny enough, relocate to the city I'm in and we are both so happy. This is the man of my dreams and I would have never found him if it weren't for our "little problem" we both deal with and this website. Thank you for opening this path for us. We are an exclusive couple now even with the distance. I'll be visiting in the city where he currently resides over Labor Day weekend and we can't wait. We are commited to each other and although marriage is not our first priority it is inevitable. Our lives, hearts & dreams have been fufilled and we are so excited to push on together in a whole new life. Thank you for making this possible for us not only to find a partner but the loves of our lives. My boyfriend has already discontinued his subscription and I will be doing the same. Our search is over and I pray that everyone has this same experience. Be patient, it will happen for you all!!! Thanks again. Chris
I have been searching for more than five years for someone I could get along with for more than a few months and I believe I finally found him! Some people thought I was being to picky, but I refused to settle for someone simply because I was lonely. I didn't want a Mr. Right now so waited for my Mr. Right, and couldn't be happier. We have been dating for almost six months now and still get along wonderfully. We both have weaknesses, but choose to over look them because we get along so well in every other area of priority. I pray everyone on this site will eventually find their love. The secret is to grow in love over time instead of mistaking infatuation for love.
I have met the love of my life 3 months ago on here. He is the guy of my dreams! We talked to each other for about 6 months and then became serious. He drove 6 hours to meet me which totally shocked me, I have never had anyone do that for me. Yes, we do have a wedding date set for February 6 2010. Cant wait. Thank you for all your support...and for helping me find my future husband and best friend!!!
I Met someone wonderful on this site 3 months ago. I emailed him on 5/15 (I think). We met for coffee 2 or 3 weeks later. I was not impressed. He gently insisted we stay in contact as friends. We made another date. I canceled. We stayed in contact. He is really really smart. That kept me interested but I didn't think I was attracted to him. I agreed (reluctantly) to another date which turned out to be kind of fun. We spent the better part of the next weekend together but I still wasn't completely turned on by him and told him that as well as pointing out that I wanted to see other people. We again spent the better part of the following weekend together and now we're exclusive. He's pretty amazing and I'm extremely lucky that he's interested in me.
We messaged over a year and a half ago but started dating other people from the site. We both actually broke up with the exes at just about the same time and went back onto the site (I was going to take my profile down) and i seen that he messaged me so we started texting eachother on and off for a few months (we finally met up about 2 1/2 months after we started talking and have been together now for two months and are planning to move in with eachother in the fall. Him and my two year old son get along so well I thought that being a single mom and having what i do I would have settle for someone who didnt treat me well. He's amazing and i am so in love with him. One tip is to make your memberships a little less. Thanks positive singles!
It was a total fluke...or "destiny" but I met someone wonderful. I could not have found a more compatible person on the "outside" as this. We totally hit it off. We have common goals, backgrounds and ethics. We adore each other, make each other smile and we talk about a very long future together. I'm certain that this is the person I will spend the rest of my life with.
I found this to be a very helpful site. I first had contact with my now husband in june of 2005. We emailed and then talked for a couple of weeks before we met. we met down in Seattle for our first date which lasted about 10 hours. After that we started having weekly dates and talking on the phone more and more. We ended up getting married in October of 2007. What really helped was that we lived only 35 miles from each other which made it easy to date. Your web site was great in that I had a lot of interested members to talk to and meet. I made sure before I met my huband to that we met in a public place for several dates before we were alone together. The dates worked out really well. It also helped that we were the same age and had the same interest in life. My husband was the one that lived in Smokey Point, WA with the caption "single for too long."
My short story is here. We live different country US and Europ, but originally we are the same country. We have email and telephone conversation every day. I know him around one and half month. Then I invited him to come and see me because I trusted him very much, he came here and we spend the time together day and night for 10 days, then I like him, he like me the way he think and everything. I am going to visit him September. Yes, we have a plan to marriage next year.
First of all I think you have a great website going. To be honest, was totally ashamed to go on at first but filling out the profile and uploading pictures I found that it was really easy. I had totally thought that once I got an STD there was NO chance that I would have have any hope of meeting someone, but luckily I was proved wrong :)
My friend and I talked for a couple months, sending an email about once a week. Then we decided to meet eachother in more of a group setting with friends and family. Things just went really smoothly! I did not know a whole lot about my friend before we met which was nice becuase I did'nt really have expectations about what he would act like, or how the date would go. I also kinda like the long-distance thing b/c when we hang out we truly appreciate our time together.
I have never done the on-line dating thing before but I would recommend it now! It gave me something to look forward to and even if things don't work out for us I know I have someone I can confide in about my STD issues.
Thanks for everything and I really hope others have the same luck I had...i know it sounds a little cheesy but it was kinda fate. I can't remember being this HAPPY in SO long, its been a refreshing change.
No talk of marrige yet, but we shall see where things go!!
I met him May 11th on Positivesingles. Our first phone conversation that night was 6 hours long, We live in 2 different states but he travels for his job, we met about 10 days later and just clicked, we have been together ever since. No talks of marriage yet but we moved quickly into a serious relationship and he is moving here to be with me. I would never have met him without this website. So thank you very much!
i've been roamin around, always looking down at all i see, painted faces fill the places i can't reach, u know that i could use somebody, someone like u and all u know and how u speak, u know that i could use somebody, someone like u*
I found a wonderful man through your website. We are very much in love and enjoying life together!!! Life can begin again even in your 50's - its AWESOME!!! Much love to all and my thanks for this website - it gave me the chance I was looking for that is for sure. I hope that anyone who is on the fence about trying this avenue if you have herpes - takes the leap of faith as we did. Its a great relief!! Much luck and love to all!
I've found the person that I never thought finding, even before my condition, we are in love and we decided that we were going to tie our lives together. The world looks a better place now, confusion and lifeless days are left in the past, the future looks brighter, and whatever time is left to us, rest assured, is going to be lived to the extent. Your site is working just fine, messages really get through, and opportunity to meet the perfect match is just a few clicks away. You have a good database of contacts and you do work on a global scale, I am the proof of that as I meet my companion in a different country, and communication was never difficult. I can't think of a negative point as for me it did work.
After giving up on all thought of a relationship I decided to give it 1 last try. I searched the net and found this site. I sent out message to a wonderful man who actually did not respond to me for a couple of months. Once he did it was magic. I could never imagine this. Love unconditionally. This wonderful man has changed my world and I am SURE our future will be together in love forever. I just want to say thank you for making this available to those of us who feel we have to put our love life way because of our diagnoses. I will be eternally in your dept for allowing me to meet the man of my dreams. I am sure there are wedding plans in our future as we are discussing relocation currently. Anyone who's reading do not give up on yourself or the power of love. Keep on looking it is waiting for you too. Thank you MissDee2002
Hi Positive Singles,
I received a "wink" on June 2, 2009 from my new friend and I hesitated at first, but replied back. We then started communicating via Email and then eventually exchanged phone #s.
We ended up meeting this past weekend (June 20). It was sudden in us meeting in person; I wanted to wait a little while before doing it, but after communicating via Email every day, and then talking on the phone every day, we were ready to go ahead and meet instead of waiting. I guess you really can't put out a time table on when to meet someone in person that you have met online. That doesn't happen when you meet someone while out and about in public such as shopping, hanging out with friends, going to a club, church, or whatever. We are both glad that we did it though! So, it ended up being 18 days of corresponding before meeting in person.
We met at a public place, a restaraunt for dinner. After meeting in person, we hit it off really well and decided we want to try a relationship and see where it may go.
I have been on the site for over a year and have communicated with other men on the site. He is the second man that I have met in person from the site. I really hope that this will work. We are both looking for the same thing in a relationship. It is too soon to say if there are any plans for marriage; we both want marriage and it has been discussed in prior conversations that we have had. Time will tell if it is meant to be for us to be married one day. I am going to take it one day at a time and see where this new relationship will lead us.
I am very thankful that I had found this site. After being in my situation for several years, I was unsure if I'd ever meet someone that would accept me with what I have and ever have a relationship or marriage. If it doesn't work out between us, I will come back to the site.
I found someone on here... We started dating about 2 2/2 months after I joined.. both have HSV2, and now we are in a committed relationship.
We corresponded from Feb- until June 2009 - which is when he ended his deployment in afganistan and came back to USA. We met at a restaurant.. which is suggested.... however, we did chat online over Yahoo.com quite a bit.. we did not talk on the phone, however, since he was in another country..
we don't have direct plans for marriage, but we are in a committed dating relationship. - marriage may come later, we both are looking for that - but it is complicated due to the nature of his job as well as mine.
I will say that I met other military guys on positive singles.... and they were all nice, but stationed too far away..
George (ScreamingEagle) and I met through PositiveSingles - about 8 months ago now. We corresponded back and forth via email and discovered we had many mutual interests including writing and photography among many others. Soon he was sharing his book he had researched and written and it just blossomed from there. When we met it was exciting! and the current was right there between us.
These many months have made our relationship grow even stronger as we have learned so much about each other. His favorite comment is that he has never laughed so much since meeting me. And its no wonder! I thought his PS screenname had to do with a real Screaming Eagle which caught my eye as I do love Native American culture - and then he told me that Screamingeagle had to do with a motorcycle part - what did I know right?
Many laughs later we are still growing in our loving relationship and enjoying life! Plans for marriage you ask? there is no need for us to rush on that but the relationship and love is strong and growing ever more so. Who can tell right?
In the meantime, my thanks to PositiveSingles for such a great site and an opportunity to meet George!
