Was having pain in legs and back due to this hsv condition. It is mainly a burning nerve pain that feels very similar to sciatic nerve pain but is due to the hsv virus. I find it hurts the most while sitting or laying down.
I was very horrified in the beginning, and by giving myself grace and moving forward, it does get better. It seemed that I was never going to be able to live or have a normal life. After doing a lot of research and educating myself, I do feel better.
The man I was with for eight mos when I had my first outbreak was asymptomatic and tested neg twice after I told him he gave me HSV2. I think he tested too soon for the anti-bodies to show up. He basically gave me the virus, then broke up with me cause I had the virus. He's in denial and thinks he doesn't have it, well if I was only with him at the time, wouldn't it have to be him that gave it to me?
so I was cheated on by my ex. I have never had symptoms, but because I knew he was being wild, i got tested. unfortunately the test came back positive. its been 11 years. no outbreaks, no symptoms. Im not seeing any one. too afraid. i
Taking the supplement lysine helps to prevent outbreaks for me. Taking up to 3 grams of lysine a day can help prevent outbreaks if you eat a lot of arginine rich foods. I have noticed less outbreaks while using this supplement.

Historically my now ex-wife and I dated for two years before getting married. She occasionally had a fever blister and kept acyclovir on hand. Never gave it a second thought and I guess was tio much in love to care. Never asked.. never researched.. never was concerned. When she felt an out break coming she just didn't want to kiss.
We were heavy into oral. Wike up one morning with terrible pain in foreskin (never circumcised as a baby). Found a slit on end of skin. it got inflamed but cured before i could get an appointment. Happened again later that year but much less involved. Same thing.. not able to get appointment before it cleared up. But the teo outbreaks created scar tissue which led to an adult circumcision.
That would have been in early 2003.
Since then zero outbreaks.. zero tingling that folks talk about.. NADA.
First decade of 2000 was Hell when it comes to stress. My father passed in 2002.. my eldest son in 2005 (from full blown AIDS).. and got blind sided by my wife in 2010 with a divorce.
Wasn't tested until leaving the home and being concerned that I may have contracted HIV from my son when I was by his bedside the day before he died in the hospital. Was a basket case literally getting to the health department for testing.. and I wanted it all including HSV.
Test revealed U had been exposed to HSV but could not pinpoint which strain. Second test done to pinpoint and that report took 30 days for results of HSV1. Talk about a trying time (this 30 days!).
And to this day I have had zero out breaks etc and have taken zero meds. I eat whatever.
I know about the virus shedding but I have had zero tingles and zero out breaks. Have dated a few women since without serious sexual involvement without transmitting any virus.
At first, I would go into a trance, I couldn't see very well, and it made my heart race. I never thought it was this because I wasn't in a relationship. It was really difficult. But now I'm a Superman 😍
Over the last 15 years I’ve paid close attention to what causes my outbreaks, and I’ve finally narrowed down my triggers. Stress is the biggest one, but certain foods also play a major role. Peanuts, chocolate, tomatoes, and sodas consistently cause issues for me, and having too much of any of them can lead to an outbreak. Because of that, I’ve learned to limit or avoid those triggers and be more mindful of how my body reacts
When I was first diagnosed in 2007, I would have multiple outbreaks; that's what led me to be in diagnosed. However the first year was the worst year with regards to having an outbreak but as each year went on I had less and less outbreaks and I can also say that I've had one maybe once every few years. I honestly think that if I do have and I'll bring that they are silent meaning they don't cause me any issues but I could spread the virus to someone else
I found out through an online blood test but I believe I have had it for some years. Genital Herpes itself is manageable. I myself have had minimal outbreaks. Every couple of years, I might get a sore. its strange but im glad. The guy that i believe infected me , didn't give me a chance to say no to sex. he just kind of took it and I gave in. A little after that I felt some really bad stinging etc but still didn't know what was going on. I think I chalked it to something else until I went to dr. However, he said it looks like herpes but wouldn't definitely say. he said wait and see if you get any other symptoms which looking back on that , didn't make any sense. I never got any other symptoms that I attributed to herpes but I tried to just carry myself as if I had it. I finally took the blood test and it was High or positive for hsv.
When I first found out in 2007 I was devastated...that year was the worse..ob after ob and after that per year it lessen down to zero ob...if i have them they are silent and a nonfactor for me...aside from me knowing back then i was diagnosed my life hasnt stopped
2007 diagnosed HPV. Lots of warts. Because I let go too long without doing anything. weak immune system against this virus so condylomas often come back. Yet I am in excellent health, I never get sick. Even today I have to oscultate myself regularly, sometimes it's so small warts.
I found out I had chlamydia when I went to urgent care for sores on my genitals. I hoped and prayed it was only chlamydia. It turns out it was more though. When the results came back as both HSV 2 and Chlamydia I was devastated. Up until that point I only haa few partners. I was just getting back out on the dating seen after a long relationship. I took the antibiotics for the Chlamydia. It cleared up quickly. the Herpes still haven't washed off. I wish there was a cure.
Diagnosed with high-risk HPV (strain 16) during a routine Pap smear at 22. My colposcopy showed CIN2 cervical dysplasia—a precancerous stage requiring treatment. No visible warts, but the mental toll was heavier than expected.
I've tried everything an they keep coming back. Anyone know of any cures? because I've got them frozen, used acid, hell I've even tried running these ugly bitches over with my truck but nope they bounce back like rubber bands.
it was back in the 80s when I was 18 my friend set me up with this girl and we hit it off and had unprotected sex. I remember this scratchy feeling like it was dry down there while having sex and within about 2weeks I had my first OB.I have been sexually active my whole adult life. only telling people that I ended up in relationships, however, after the fact.i feel like the doctors are at partial fault from this spreading the way it has, because when you get tested the don't test for it,they don't tell you that they don't test for it,They make money on the scripts. And it not that big of deal. I remember kids coming to school with COLD SORES they said o it's only a cold sore.I have gone thru life with feeling less than ,ashamed, damged, hopeless.Everybody makes jokes about herpes all the time. I have had a few long relationships with women over the years I have taken the doctors meds til I started reading what they do to your body after long-term use so I don't use them every day. There is my last ex that said she has it now, however with the stories that I heard of her former husband ,it might have been him.I never had or have sex with someone if I even start to feel that tingling or maybe 2 weeks after the OB was healed.I am in RECOVERY nowadays working on my honesty and the last few partners I have had I have had the conversation (had to work up to it first). Oh I have it too. I know it is the best way to deal with it,but the Hardest! I have been non active for the last 4 years as far as dating /sex is concerned. I do live my life and accept it... and then I get an OB and then the thought come:( I do try to eat right exercise and take supplements that I have learned and researched over the years of all the BULLSHIT cures on the internet. I might have 1 to 2 OB a year sometimes none.
I’ve been struggling. I was diagnosed in 2015 or 16 and it seems that every time I get my period right afterwards I tend to have an outbreak, if I have sex I have an Outbreak. I tried the valacyclovir, but even with daily dose, I was still having outbreaks. Looking for any help or suggestions, please.
I contracted HSV2 from my partner 3 years into our 20 year relationship. I would get outbreaks as soon as the one prior went away.
The doctor put me on Valcylovir 1000mg three times a day during outbreaks at first. Then when I had them monthly treatment was 1000mg 2x a day.
Over the last 21 years, the outbreaks became less and less frequent. Now I may get one every couple of years and it lasts a couple of days.
Years ago my doctor told me to take 2000mg 2x a day for 2 days when I start to feel an outbreak. When I did that, my outbreak never came or lasted a day.
Chin up if you are new to this...it does get better.
