HSV-1 herpes on the mouth with HSV-2 genital herpes

  • If I met someone with very frequent HSV-1 mouth outbreaks with no previous anti-viral therapy (suppression therapy), I am on suppression therapy 1g a day for genital herpes, what is my likelihood of contracting mouth herpes with his frequent outbreaks when I am on 1g of suppression therapy, I am worried about asymptomatic viral therapy. I have been HSV positive for 14-15 years. He has had them his entire life as far as early childhood. I just ordered him a 90 day supply of Valtrex ;*)
