Does having syphilis increase the chance of catching other STDs?

Respectful men who have sex with men account for 75% of all syphilis cases. It's believed that syphilis increases that chance of catching HIV by at least three fold. I was unable to find any data that proves syphilis increases the chance of catch STDs such as genital warts or herpes.

There are several stages to syphilis. If it's untreated the virus could progress. syphilis is curable. An individual dosage of Benzathine Penicillin G could be given. It's best to ask your medical doctor what medication should be taken. Once syphilis is fully cured the chance of catching HIV will also reduce.
