I have HSV-2, diagnosed last June, and since the primary have been experiencing at least 1 and sometimes 2-3 outbreaks every month. I take Valtrex 500mg daily and have also tried Famvir, but they do not seem to prevent outbreaks. My ob/gyn is baffled as most people respond to Valtrex. Right now I am not taking anything, expecting my next outbreak to be worse but then hoping maybe for viral burnout. Any suggestions or advice would be great, thank you!
