Well actually, I ended up getting back together with the girl I had been dating when I got my diagnosis. I think she just needed some time to process the information, become educated on the subject, and figure out her priorities. Luckily, she realized that I was her priority and that my diagnosis wasn't enough of a reason to end things. So in that sense, it should give people hope that it's not the end of the world.

That said, I have become friends with someone I met on the site. The only thing we had in common was our diagnosis, but now we have become good friends.

We first met back in March through your site. After a few days of chatting, we met at a coffee house. We dated for 4 months and he asked me to move in with him. Sadly, that was a mistake because neither of us were truly ready for that level of a relationship so quickly, and we broke up in early November. I was devastated because I truly believed I had met my soul mate. We had more in common than any man I've ever met. I'm not a religious person, but I started to pray that he might give us another try even though he did not feel the same about me as I did about him.

A few weeks ago, we both saw each other back on your site once again, looking for our match. I'm not sure how or why, but he recently asked me to meet again for a chat. We talked things out and he wants to give us another chance! This time, we will respect each other's space and still have our own lives. I think that's the main thing I've learned from this...to maintain my own identity and not loose sight ... Read Full Story>>

JoJo ( Island girl) and I (Paul3491) met in January 2010.

After 2 to 3 weks of daily phone calls, Jojo and I each travelled 120 miles to meet each other half-way for our first date in Sebring, FL. We dated long distance each week until August 2010.

We were engaged around June 2010. We've been living together since August 2010. We plan to get married in August 2012.

I have found, again, the one I was meant to be with. We had met about 3 years ago, and had went our seperate ways at that time. Both involved in relationships that were not good for either of us. Although I am HSV2 positive, she is not.

After so long of being away from each other, our paths have met full circle once again. I knew from before that it was love at first sight, but never acted upon my heart's wishes back then. This time, we sat down and talked about the risks involved of having a positive and non-positve relationship together.

I should have listened to my heart back then and had taken that blind leap of faith, because though there is risk, and she knows and understands, the reward for us both is much greater than the risk. That reward, given by each other to each other, is love.
