I have found my Christian Church going God believing Mr. Right, my man blanket my best friend and Lover and yes we are getting married! He is just what I'm looking for and what I had mentioned in my profile. I was so depressed and feeling isolated before I found out about this web site. It saved my life and my son's thank you to whoever started it.
I found my love and am so happy! This site offers a very valuable service and although it was actually a different dating site I found success with I want to complement you on providing a service to people in a difficult position. The community gave me comfort in my time of need.
I am now officially engaged to a wonderful man I met on this site. We talked on the phone and texted for 9 weeks before we met in person due to the distance between us.
I flew out to Colorado from California the last weekend in April 2010 and that was the first time we had met in person. We are planning on getting married sometime in 2011.
Well actually, I ended up getting back together with the girl I had been dating when I got my diagnosis. I think she just needed some time to process the information, become educated on the subject, and figure out her priorities. Luckily, she realized that I was her priority and that my diagnosis wasn't enough of a reason to end things. So in that sense, it should give people hope that it's not the end of the world.
That said, I have become friends with someone I met on the site. The only thing we had in common was our diagnosis, but now we have become good friends.
