We correspond for a little less than a month--late May before meeting. We met at father's Day weekend...met for dinner Friday night in my city (he's in Phoenix area, I live in Tucson). Went fishing on Father's Day. No marriage plans yet, but we will most likely be moving in together early part of next year.
Advice to other members:
Personally, I'd like to know how long they've been a member (maybe that's already a feature) and perhaps how many others they've made "favorites." It's very, very difficult to trust men (and maybe women) you meet on dating sites. I have to say, though, that I have tried other sites over the years, but this is the very first time I've met someone of quality that I want to spend my future with....let alone more than one date! Thanks!!!!
Positive Singles was a great tool that helped me find my soul mate. Within a week of signing on, we met, and it took off quickly. When you find the one, it doesn't take long to know it! We are moving in together and have plans for marriage in the spring.
Positive Singles keeps the hope of love alive for so many people with STD's. I spent 3 years feeling that I needed to keep to myself and not seek love again. The love that I have found is such a blessing. Positive Singles is changing the lives of many!
How long did we correspond for before meeting? I marked him as a "favorite" around the middle of July. We sent a few messages back and forth, and finally exchange phone numbers a couple of weeks later. It took another couple of weeks before we decided to meet in person. We discovered that we only live 7 miles from each other.
When, where and how did we finally meet in person? After asking me several times to meet him somewhere, I finally agreed to meet him at a local Starbucks, thinking that I could get out of there in about 20 minutes if it didn't go well. We sat for two hours and talked, and have spent very few days apart since then.
Are there any plans for marriage? Yes, we are talking about getting married. Thanks for this site!
His profile was very interesting to me. It was sincere and honest. I reached out to him but neither one of us was in paying status. When he winked back, I decided to pay monthly just so we could talk. After emailing for a week, we exchanged numbers. We had long conversations about everything over the next few days. After 2 weeks we decided to meet. He lives in Atlanta, GA and I live in New York. It was faith that put me in Atlanta at that time. We met and had a very nice first date. We talk everyday, all day. He makes me laugh. I am planning to relocate next year so that we can be closer.
He is religious and his faith in GOD is what attracted me the most. We both agreed that there will be no sex before marriage. He is a very nice and kind-hearted person. I am very happy! Thanks Positive Singles!
We first corresponded on 28 Aug - and met in person for the first time on 11 Sep 10. So we corresponded about two weeks prior. He flew from where he lived Alaska to my home town Hawaii on 11 Sep 10. Yes, there are plans for marriage - as I said we are engaged. He is moving from Alaska to Hawaii so the date is dependent on how soon he can get a job here in Hawaii. If he gets a job soon we are looking at sometime in Jan 11; if not so soon we want to get married in August - 1 year from when we first communicated.

you need to meet face to face if you are serious about desiring a long term relationship.
