I met someone already  (Engaged)

My fiancee is a kind, sweet, yet "edgy" native amer/hispanic man, around my age. He has taught me how to garden, parallel park our car, and he has shown me a side of life that I fortunately never had to experience...past horrid abuse.
In a sense, I am his "caretaker" for now, but we will be working on the issues together over the years to come.
He is a divine dancer, does not care what disease I may have, and loves me for me.
A fall wedding is planned.

Advice to other members:

Don't give up hope and keep your options open somewhat.

Close to two years ago i started feeling symptoms around my junk area can't be normal i thought. I take a visit to the local hospital and was told i have hpv. Depression set in and yeah you know the rest.

One year later i stumble upon this glorious dating site. So instead of testing the waters i dove right in and grasped my hands on a gold membership. One month turns to three months and still nothing too significant turns up for me meaning i wasn't receiving responses from the girls i was interested in. Coming down to the last week before i shut down shop i receive a wink from an attractive young lady in Oklahoma. To simplify things we just exchanged numbers and developed a texting relationship.

For the next four months there wasn't a day we didn't saying good morning and good night to each other. Plenty of photos were also added each day which required me to purchase a sd card to save all the pictures. Through the 4 months of chit chat we planned to meet and did so... Read Full Story>>

I thought my life was over when I learned I had HSV1. But in a way it was a blessing, for I have found my other half. I may not be religious, but having found the one makes me believe that everything happens for a reason. I am still in awe everyday that I have found him and how well we fit together.

Advice to other members:

My fiancee ), was about to cancel his account when I contacted him. We lived 6 hours apart but we gave it a shot. I think members should definitely broaden their search and not rule out anyone. If you are recently diagnosed with any incurable STD, please don't give up, because life goes on.

New beginning  (Dating)
View author's info , minneapolis, ON, United States, Feb 14, 2011
After a short initial chat in November and a brief courtship it did not take us long to know that we were meant to be together. Currently we are still living separately. But after a week in the Mexican Riviera together it sealed the deal. We have now began the process of integrating our lives together. Purchasing a condo together, and introducing one another to our family and loved ones. It is a very exciting time and we cannot wait to continue our journey; together.

Advice to other members:

If there is any advice we could give, it would be to never ever give up faith in people, faith in love, and faith in yourself. There is a match out there for everyone. Even though the dreaded H entered both of our lives years apart; it has been the catalyst that brought us together. Now we chuckle, at what a blessing it truly has been for the both of us.
Although you feel paralyzed and broken when your diagnosis is handed down to you; it is about putting the pieces back together, and finding that person to help you make the pieces of the puzzle fit back together again.
Blessings to everyone who is reading this; feel free to msg either one of us for advice or more about us.
